Why does Jalopnik hate Chrome?

Is it just me or are others having problems with Jalopnik loading with a Chrome browser? It works fine with edge. Also other sites including Oppo work fine but Jalopnik just hangs. Any ideas?

I haven’t been able to upload pictures for months in chrome, everything else seems to work. I think the pictures work in firefox though.

Do you have the latest version? I couldn’t upload either, I updated and now Chrome is my most reliable browser.

Nope, I installed Chrome just so I could get Kinja pages to work correctly, was doing my head in using Edge (which I prefer and uses for none-Kinja sites). All is working fine for me in Chrome.

I couldn’t add pictures on IE10 or EDGE, even adding text mean’t I had to refresh the page.

I’m now using Chrome and I’ve got full functionality once again to add pictures either from clicking the icon and uploading a picture from my computer or cutting and pasting from another site.

Have you tried uninstalling Chrome and reinstalling it?

I dont like flashy, but im not an animal. Thats gorgeous. Chrome just doesn’t really look right on modern cars though.

That’s fair. I guess a good view point is that if it didn’t come with chrome, it doesn’t need chrome.

Hmmm the odd thing is that all the other Kinja sites (Sploid, Jezebel, etc load fine. Just Jalopnik.

I have the same experience on all of kinja sites on chrome, but i have add block that blocked 24 objects on this oppo page.

I’ve got the same problem with Chrome, but Chrome mobile works just fine.
